Overview

You can add conditions to your campaign sequence to determine the course of action a lead will take after the condition is met or not, thus creating the best scenarios for each lead.

For example, if a lead has an open profile on LinkedIn, you can try to contact them via a free InMail instead of sending a connection request and using your daily connection quota. But, if they do not have an open profile, then you could send them a connection request. This way allows you to maximize the number of leads you can reach, depending on what channels of communication are possible.

To add conditions, simply click the Add Action button on your sequence.

Conditions are available for the following activities:

  • If connected: This condition checks if you’re already connected with a lead
    Use cases:

    • Send invites to leads you have not yet connected with, and messages to leads you have already connected with

    • Simply end the sequence for leads you have already connected with and concentrate on new leads in the campaign

  • If viewed message: Add this condition after sending a message to your leads to check if the message has been viewed
    Use cases:

    • If the message was viewed, you could send another message, but if it wasn’t, then you could view the lead’s profile, like a post, or something else

NOTE: A condition is a one-time action that checks the status at a specific moment in time. For example, if the message status was "not viewed" at a particular moment, the lead will be directed to the corresponding "not viewed" branch. The lead/prospect will not switch branches if the condition changes later.

  • If email is available: This condition checks if the lead’s email address is in the system
    Use cases:

    • Save your regular invitation requests by sending an email invite to lead’s that have an email address available

  • If open profile: This condition checks if a lead has an open LinkedIn profile
    Use cases:

    • If a lead’s profile is open, you can send a free InMail message, but if it’s not, then you’ll need to connect with them first before sending them a message

As you can see from the screenshot below, by combining multiple conditions and actions in a sequence, you can create a sophisticated scenario to reach more leads within the existing limits by using all possible communication methods.

Summary: conditions create more paths for your leads to follow, allowing you to maximize your outreach
